Parenthood is one of the greatest gifts that God gave to the mankind. God made parents and in turn they make children, who can continue becoming parents; thus, we exist and survive. Human beings began their journey from His design of parenthood; and the entire descendants have received the design and proceed from it. Hence, by God’s command we need to pay the due respect to parents, and get their blessing, for it is one of the most assured ways of getting blessings, according to St. Paul: “Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right.” (Eph 6:1) May we thank God for giving us parents, who cooperated with Him in bringing us into this world, and rightfully honor God by respecting our parents.

Abba, thank You so much for giving us the right parents, according to Your will. Let Your Spirit give us wisdom to respect and obey them, in Jesus’ Most Obedient Name, Amen.
