Choices are the most important in life, for choices that we make determines our lives. We take pleasure in making choices; the choice of the dress and colour, the choice of food and dishes that suit our tongue, the education we want and the job we enjoy the most; the books we want to read and the movies we want to watch; our friends and partners; and the list goes very long. The God, who loves us the most, cautions us to be careful in our choices: “This day I call the heavens and the earth as witnesses against you that I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Now choose life, so that you and your children may live” (Deut 30:19). The most difficult thing in choosing is really knowing what is truly good and what we should really choose, and for that we need wisdom. May God shower enough wisdom and understanding so that we may only choose what is the good, that would give us life and blessing.

Abba, thank You for going to give us the wisdom to choose the good. Let Your Spirit share His wisdom to choose the good, in Jesus’ Most Guiding Name, Amen.
