We like to eat food that’s been prepared new, we like to purchase and consume fruits that are fresh and new, we like to wear dresses that are stitched and designed very new, we prefer a vehicle brand new for our family purposes, we like to own an apartment that is built new—new, new, and everything new. David suggests as we prepare ourselves to worship God, we need to go unto Him with a new song: “Oh, sing to the Lord a new song! Sing to the Lord, all the earth.” (Ps 96:1).  God puts words and the melody into our minds and hearts if we truly desire to sing unto Him and honor Him with a new song. May we have the courage to compose a new song, for He has definitely inscribed with us the capacity for creating and receiving a new song. 

Abba, Thank You for inviting us to sing unto You a new song. Let Your Spirit make us listen to the inspiration that comes from You, in Jesus’ Most Beautiful Name, Amen.
