“Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing!” Is 43:18-19

Beauty of Now

Time is one thing that God gives as a gift every day of our life. Rich or poor, the time that is given us is the same every day. Making best use of the time can elevate and take us to any altitude that we want to climb and achieve. Wasting time can be considered one of the common sin that mankind never realizes. We can purchase anything at any point of our life if we have earned enough money, but time is one thing that we would never be able to purchase however smart or rich we may be. The observation of time is categorized generally into three—the past, the present, and the future. Regretting and worrying over the opportunities that we have missed or lost is not going to bring anything back to us. Now is the greatest gift we need to cease and take full advantage of it; otherwise it is also going to slip out of our hands and become the past. That is why we are requested to live in the present where the loving God wants to lead us into success and blessing: “Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.” (Is 43:18-19) May we not be unduly concerned about the future by daydreaming but cooperate with God in the present moment. That would lead us to the bright and prosperous future.

Abba, Thank You for relieving us from the worries of the past. Let Your Spirit hold us and lead us in the present and take us to the blessed future. In Jesus’ Most Eternal Name, Amen.
