In our attempt to achieve anything in the world, there are things that need to be followed in its order. In the spiritual realm also, there are thing that are of the primary importance, that we need to know and follow, so that we can enjoy and benefit from the bounty of His kingdom. Jesus, the only one who came from Heaven, taught, with authority, things concerning Heaven and its kingdom: “But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.” (Mt 6:33) Priority should be given to the divine condition that demands us to keep His kingdom and His righteousness first, to receive all the rest, next. We may have millions of demands and needs and we want God to fulfill them; but God has only one demand: we keep Him and the things pertaining to His Kingdom as the first in our list, just as David declared based on his firsthand experience and enjoyed countless blessings that he desired from Him: “Take delight in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart.” (Ps 37:4). May we give God and His kingdom the rightful, primary place in our life, and await His blessings upon all our needs and sincerest desires.

Abba, Thank You for educating us about the best spiritual principle. Let Your Spirit make us keep You and Your Kingdom as our priority, and have the sincerest desires of our hearts be met by You, In Jesus’ Most Bountiful Name, Amen.
