The uncertainty of circumstances and the availability of opportunities make us get confused as to how to choose the path that we need to take. Knowing our situation, God takes the responsibility of guiding us and leading us in the right way, as written by the psalmist: “I will instruct you and teach you in the way which you should go; I will counsel you with My eye upon you.” (Ps 32:8) In such a short verse we see the emphasis He puts on His role of instructing, guiding and counseling emphatically. What then is our part in achieving the target He has set for us? It is the careful receiving of His words in faith and attentive following. It is really hard for many people to listen and give heed to the voice of His, that is very gentle and tender, and that goes unnoticed amidst the noisy disturbance that distracts us. Even those kind of persons He leads, using other means, that is compared to the way animals are being trained by the use of force: “Do not be like the horse or like the mule, Which have no understanding, Which must be harnessed with bit and bridle, Else they will not come near you.” (Ps 32:9) Discipline is another way He choses to handle leading us, only when it is essential, for He is concerned that we run and reach the appointed goal and enjoy success and victory that we desire and deserve.  

Abba, Thank You for always leading us towards the line of success. Let Your Spirit make us listen clearly all the instructions and follow them wisely, In Jesus’ Most Wonderful Name, Amen.
