Formation of anything involves a purpose and the process; this is harder when it comes to the question of persons who are moulded and designed for special services. None of us can claim that we are finished perfectly, that we don’t need any correction. There are areas in our life where we need to grow and get mature, hence God keeps us in situations that seem like a kiln, where the quality and shining are determined. Paul encourages us to pass through this disciplining that chastens us for better: “Every part of Scripture is God-breathed and useful one way or another—showing us truth, exposing our rebellion, correcting our mistakes, training us to live God’s way. Through the Word we are put together and shaped up for the tasks God has for us.” (2 Tim 3:16-17) Remember always that God, our dearest Father who knows what is best for us, does the needed: “Thus you are to know in your heart that the Lord your God was disciplining you just as a man disciplines his son.” (Dt 8:5) May we take pride in being under the heavenly watch, as we are trained for the battle that God has assigned for us to win.

Abba, thank you for choosing and equipping me as Your desired vessel. Let Your Spirit make us believe and proceed through the formation with patience, faith and courage, In Jesus’ Most powerful Name, Amen.
