Going through a long line of prophets, God has been addressing our ancestors in different ways for centuries. Recently he spoke to us directly through his Son. By his Son, God created the world in the beginning, and it will all belong to the Son at the end. This Son perfectly mirrors God, and is stamped with God’s nature. He holds everything together by what he says—powerful words! [ The Son Is Higher than Angels ] After he finished the sacrifice for sins, the Son took his honored place high in the heavens right alongside God, far higher than any angel in rank and rule. Did God ever say to an angel, “You’re my Son; today I celebrate you” or “I’m his Father, he’s my Son”? When he presents his honored Son to the world, he says, “All angels must worship him.” Hebrews 1:3

歴史を通じて、神は多くの預言者をお送りくださり、わたしたちの祖先に様々なかたちで何世紀にも渡り語られてきました。近い過去では、神はご自分の御子を通して語られました。御子を通して、神はこの世界を最初にお造りになり、世界の最後には、すべてが御子に属するのです。この御子は、完全な神の映しでいらっしゃいます。御子には神の性質が刻み込まれています。すべては、主がお話しになる御ことばをとおして治められているのです。あぁ、御ことばの力ときたら！

　御子は、犠牲となり罪の代償となられた後、天の最上階にて、神の横のご自分のために準備されていた名誉ある王座につかれました。それは、天使たちのいかなる地位や支配をも超えた地位なのです。神が天使におっしゃることがありましょうか。「お前はわたしの息子である。今日、お前を賛美し世に知らせる」、「わたしが彼の父親であり、彼がわたしの息子である」などと。神は、ご自分の栄誉ある御子を世に示される時、次のようにおっしゃいます。「すべての天使が彼を賛美しなくてはならない」と。（ヘブライ 1:3)
