Be Acceptable In Thy Sight
Let the words of my mouth—all creatures have mouth. Mouth is not only meant for eating. It’s meant for so many other things, as inspired by the New Testament authors, especially Paul, it’s meant for singing hymns, songs, to praise, thank, to edify, to support, to evangelize.
Sometime we do not even know what an amount of effect the words of our mouths have—positive and negative. James in his letter very clearly says it’s like a rudder—a person who does not know how to control his tongue, it would sometimes have havoc on his life or others. That’s why you need to guard our mouth.
And meditation—meditation is not something that people think about …sitting under a tree, wearing a particular uniform, going to particular school of thought, and listening…
No, meditation is receiving the inspiration form the inspired Word of God, that should be imprinted on the heart. Only then that meditation will give us light to lead a life in the way God wants us to live. So this is one of the beautiful prayers of David.
Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart Be acceptable in thy sight, —yes, what is important is not that we get approval from friends or colleagues or congregation. It should be acceptable in HIs Sight. Lord looks form Heaven if there is anyone who is of HIs heart.
If our words and meditations are acceptable, or praise God, there is noting more a blessing than this.
O Jehovah—the Name above all names, the Only God, true and living, all mighty, omnipotent, omniscience,.
My rock, —solid, we can always place our foundation on Him
and my redeemer—no-one else. We can’t redeem ourselves. Redemption means someone else who is not part of this, who alone can that’s why Christ, He alone can redeem us from sickness, weakness, desperation, depression.
Depend on Him by filling our hearts with words and filling our hearts with mediation that’s acceptable in His Sight.
Abba, be merciful to us that we may have words and meditations that’s acceptable in Thy Sight. Let Your Spirit guide us that we may find shelter in the Rock, the Redeemer, the Name, the powerful Name to which all knees should surrender, In Jesus’ Most Humble Name, Amen.
