Every Scripture is God-breathed and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for instruction in righteousness, that each person who belongs to God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.

2 Timothy 3:16-17 

 

Every Scripture is God-breathed

 

Scripture-the greatest of the gifts that God gave to mankind; filled with stories, or rather incidents, that would enable people to stay in faith, and depend on God who is the Creator of the universe.

 

Holy Spirit is the author of the Scripture. Whoever wrote it, were inspired by the instilling, the infilling , and the indwelling of the Holy Ghost. That is why it is declared God’s Word.

Profitable for teaching—of course, we need to be taught ,…..how a father should behave, …mother, …husband, wife, …children, …in-laws, ….relatives, to those person who don’t even belong to your clan, caste, community, race or religion. It is all given in detail. It is a basic manual for human living. Hence, it is profitable. 

 

If a person believes in living, as in John 10:10, it says, “I came that they may have life, and full life.” The teachings of the scripture will provide you with full-life. And it does also something for reproof. 

 

Yes, not that we all are perfect. …We do make mistakes. Then, it needs  someone or somebody to reproof. 

 

The word of God does that perfectly. And the minister of God who is authorized also do that. 

 

Many people don’t like that. What to do, he is duty bound for correction. Yes, course has to be altered when it is not in alignment with their own way,… towards blessing.

and for instruction in righteousness. That is the way everybody should take. We cannot be righteous. By His righteousness we share, as we call God “Abba” and He is our brother and He has done that for us.

 

That each person who belongs to God, ….that should be the first revelation you should be convinced of. .. you belong to God. …You are created by Him, purchased by His Son’s Precious Blood.

 

It is not with silver or gold or money that you were brought or bought. It was by the Blood of the Unblemished Lamb of God. So you belong to God, …I belong to God, and everyone belongs to God. It is up to us to realize and declare. 

 

And He wants us to be completed. 

May be complete—The One who has began the good work in you, will make it to the finale, accomplish….. Only God can do that.

 

thoroughly equipped—any job needs a lot of things we should be equipped with, be it writing, running, dancing, playing music, whatever form of art , or anything whatsoever. 

for every good work—yes, you should feel proud about your work. Heart should be satisfied, filled with Peace, tranquility, serenity. Then, what you are sure that you are doing is a good work.

 

May we desire for this instruction that St. Paul gave to Timothy, the young one.

 

Abba, Help us breathe the Scripture that is God-breathed. Let Your Spirit convince us of the profit of the teaching of the reproof, of the correction and of the instruction, and make us belong to God, that we will be complete, throughly equipped, for the very good work that comes on our way,…. may we achieve., In Jesus’ Most Powerful Name, Amen.
