Happy is the one who has not walked in the advice of the wicked, nor stood in the way of sinners, nor sat in the seat of scoffers. Psalm 1:1-2

Meditate day and night

Happy is the one who has not walked in the advice of the wicked, nor stood in the way of sinners, nor sat in the seat of scoffers. But his delight is in the Torah of Adonai, and on His Torah he meditates day and night.

Psalm 1:1-2

Meditate day and night

Happy is the one—happiness is the desire of any creature, including human beings. We all desire to have happiness. And the Psalmist says:

Happy is the one who has not walked in the advice of the wicked,

--Advice is the cheapest thing that you can find on your way, everybody and anybody gives advice which they haven’t even practiced in their own personal lives. Yet, they would be generous enough, because that doesn’t cost them anything. I hate people giving advice that is not been practiced by themselves and tested.

I do advise sometimes, or many times, but I make sure that the advice I give works in real.

nor stood in the way of sinners

—sin is something that goes in contradiction to the God-given Laws or principles, that endangers the wellbeing of you or humanity, or that of nature. So we should know, we should have a clear cut distinction between what is sin or not. Sin should be never the one we should choose.

nor sat in the seat of scoffers.

—people wonder why sitting in the seat of scoffers, yeah, even in other places also it’s been referred. Don’t sit by the side of scoffers.

Sitting by the side of somebody and dining, it matters a lot. I always make it a point, make a decision, not to sit by the side of the person whom I don’t agree with in many matters. Sitting with him, dining with him, keeping a seat with them, that matters a lot.

God doesn’t want a child of His to sit with a scoffer, the one who mocks, ridicules. It has a lot of meanings.

Never dine with the person who you would not agree with in a possible, perfect sense. Jesus would not. So you also don’t ever think or consider doing that for any reason. “Dining with the person”—meaning, agreeing with him in every sense. If you have anything in your conscience that what he does doesn’t go in agreement with what you believe, …kindly, I tell you as a caution. Keep this as a priority. I do. I don’t even have a drink, even a water, a glass of, even in extreme situation I would not, because that person’s priority does not go in line with the beliefs that you have. That’s why you have to shun, s-h-u-n, avoid at any cost, any means.

But his delight is in the Torah of Adonai,

—Torah is the first five books of the Bible. A person who loves God, like if you love a person, you wold enjoy reading letters that’s been written and sent and transmitted to you. That much you should have delight.  It’s a highest form of pleasure. When you have the Bible, you should have that. I do have that.

and on His Torah, on His Torah he meditates

—meditation is not what some people think is what it is. Meditation is putting yourself and being in line with, in tune with, in alignment with.

day and night.—I know. God’s children, they do that. Knowingly or unknowingly. It’s a pleasure, it’s a privilege, it’s an honor. God Himself delights in watching His disciples or believers meditating His Torah day and night.

Loving Appa, Help us to delight in the Torah of You, Adonai. Let Your Spirit give us enough of thoughtfulness to meditate the Torah, day and night. In Jesus’ Most Powerful Name, Amen.
