sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high,
who being the brightness of His glory and the express image of His person, and upholding all things by the word of His power, when He had by Himself purged our sins, sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high, Hebrews 1:3
who being the brightness of His glory
No-one has seen the Father in His Glory, and that is why God sent His Son in a human form. The Son when He came, He was having the brightness of the glory of the Father. That is why He was able to say, the one who has seen Me has seen the Father.
and the express image of His person,
We believe that God is one and He has expressed Himself in the bible as Father, and the Son and the Holy Ghost. The second person of the Trinity, expresses the image of the person of the Father--the love of the Father, the compassion of the Father, the power of the Father, the holiness of the Father, and the forgiveness of the Father--and everything Son also expressed.
and upholding all things by the word of His power,
Yes, with the very word He was able to do anything that He desired. Be it brining Lazarus from the tomb back alive, or heal any of the sick, or cast away the evil spirits from the people who were tormented by them, or command to the nature to be quiet and stand still, or give forgiveness for people who were in real need for it; and everything immediately came into existence by the power of His word.
when He had by Himself purged our sins,
Anytime we violate the divine law, sin comes into our being, and creates in us a stain that needs to be cleansed, which by our own effort will not be able to do it. That's why He purges our sins by His blood. John also says the blood of Christ cleanses away all sins from our being. David also when he committed sin, desired for the cleansing, said "Cleanse me by the hyssop that I may be whiter than the snow." The author continues, and after doing all of these things:
sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high,
God is sitting majestically on the throne in heaven. Book of Isaiah Chapter 6, Book of Revelation Chapter 4, even in many other passages you can see how God is seated majestically in the throne. Jesus is sitting right by His side, at the right hand side. What is He doing? He is right now praying for us, interceding for us. That is why through this Jesus we need to approach the Throne of God, in His name we need to work out miracles through the power of the Holy Spirit and be witness to the world that is really in need of a miracle.
Abba, Thank You for sending Your Son, being brightness of Your Glory. We worship Your Son who expresses the image of your person. We adore the Holy Ghost whose power made everything that Jesus undertook, success and victory that brought life to people on earth. Thank You for being our God, continue to cleanse us of our sins. Let us without fail everyday approach the Mercy Seat, by the guidance of the Holy Spirit and set a good example to the world that needs miracles these days. In Jesus' Most Powerful Name, Amen.
