David, being a shepherd, knows the relationship between the sheep and the shepherd. The sheep depended on the shepherd for everything, for food, shelter and protection. Knowing this very well, he called upon God as his shepherd; therefore he lacked nothing.

May we have the same faith and live lacking nothing.

Abba, Thank You for being our shepherd. Let Your Spirit make us realize that we lack nothing. In Jesus' Most Powerful Name, Amen.
