As Human beings are created by the infinite love of God, we have the capacity and duty to love God and fellow human beings. Love puts us in the right relationship with God and keeps us happy and healthy. If we receive and reciprocate the flow of love, love will definitely overflow from our being to touch others, because God showers His love abundantly to the extent that we cannot contain it within ourselves. John, the beloved apostle, has experienced this abundant love of God that also touched and benefited others; thus he convincingly argues: “If someone says, ‘I love God,’ and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who does not love his brother whom he has seen, how can he love God whom he has not seen?” (1 Jn 4:20). May we readily accept the flow of God’s love that always runs through us and reveals it’s presence in loving others.

Abba, Thank You for showering Your love upon us. Let Your Spirit enable us to express Your love to others who are in need, in Jesus’ most loving Name, Amen.
